Melissa Rainey has been acting, writing and producing for more than ten years in the greater Atlanta area. She has worked on a series of local award winning films including 1000 Blisters where she won the Fox 24 Best Actress Award at the 2012 Charleston International Film Festival for her role as Paulina, and This Is A Test which  Melissa co-wrote and executive produced. This Is A Test was awarded Best Local Film in 2014 by the Atlanta Shorts Film Festival.

Although she loves working in film, her passion and focus lies in local theatre. Melissa was recently named an Artist-In-Residence at Onion Man Productions (onionmanproductions.com) where she worked on their recent Summer Harvest Series of short plays, and starred in and produced Patrick Marber's "Closer".
